The Opportunity

We are partnering exclusively with Henry Boot, a leading UK land, property development, home building, and construction business, to recruit an Interim Systems Accountant. Key Responsibilities

Reporting to the Group Finance Director, the Systems Accountant will play a vital role in managing and developing financial systems, supporting finance operations, and delivering accurate financial reporting.

Responsibilities include:

  • Administration and maintenance of the Business Central finance system and related platforms such as Jet Hub and PeopleXD (Payroll)

  • Supporting system upgrades, testing, and implementation of new functionality

  • Providing end-user support across the business for finance systems

  • Development and maintenance of key management reports using JET and Insight reporting tools

  • Working closely with finance and operational teams to improve systems, controls, and processes

  • Assisting with the preparation of monthly management accounts and group financial reporting

  • Supporting statutory reporting and consolidation processes

  • Providing cover and support across the wider finance team when required

The Successful Candidate Will:
  • Have experience working in a finance systems or management accounting role

  • Possess strong technical and systems skills, ideally with exposure to Business Central or similar ERP systems

  • Be confident working with reporting tools such as JET reporting

  • Have excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to work collaboratively across departments

  • Be proactive and adaptable with a keen eye for process improvement
