The Role

As an Algar Air Field Maintenance Technician, you'll be proactive, with a committed and professional approach to your work. You'll work well as part of a small team, but you'll be equally happy, productive and motivated working on your own.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnosing faults and carrying out repairs on-site across South Yorkshire, Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire, and Lincolnshire
  • Performing maintenance on air compressors and associated equipment (training provided)
  • Conducting preventative maintenance activities
  • Installing pipework & ducting
  • General on-site maintenance and problem-solving
  • Ensuring all work complies with health & safety regulations
  • Engaging with customers and providing expert technical support

The Ideal Candidate

We're looking for a highly motivated, hands-on engineer with a strong mechanical background and a passion for problem-solving. About you:

  • Experience in a similar role maintaining site equipment, plant, or machinery
  • Strong mechanical engineering knowledge (compressed air & pneumatics preferred)
  • Clean/low points UK driving licence
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Basic knowledge of electrical/PLC systems (desirable)
  • CSCS certification, forklift/scissor lift/booms licence (preferred)
