Design Engineer (Civil)

Elvet Recruitment are recruiting for an experienced Design Engineer / Senior Design Engineer on behalf of a civil engineering / water main contractor.

This reputable Water / Utilities contractor are growing and in need of a Design Engineer or Senior Design Engineer to supplement their strong design team. The work is covering multiple water frameworks in North England: Yorkshire Water, Severn Trent Water and United Utilities. This contractor has over £100m of work secured through these framework agreements over the next 2-3 years and are quickly establishing themselves as a go-to delivery partner for water infrastructure in England.

This role is based out of an office in Sheffield with regular site visits and offers hybrid working / WFH for 2-3 days per week.

Duties as Design Engineer:

• Detailed design work on water projects: waste water and clean water.
• Allocating and managing CAD output from technicians.
• Represent company in meetings, client & stakeholder interactions.
• Undertake site visits to gather information & data.
• Working with Project Managers to ensure smooth delivery on site.
• Documentation & drawing reviews.

Experience Required as Design Engineer:

• Must have experience working as Design Engineer for a civil engineering contractor delivering water projects as part of a water framework.
• Must have experience dealing with Yorkshire Water, Severn Trent Water etc. as client.
• Must have knowledge with waste & clean water design including: attenuation design and flow balancing.
• Must have fluent IT & English writing skills.
• Experience with AutoCAD beneficial.

Remuneration:

On offer is a salary of up to £50,000 (dependant upon experience) plus package.
(Car allowance, pension, fuel scheme, holidays, healthcare etc.).
