QA Engineer

A market leader in detection instrumentation based in Sheffield are looking for a QA Engineer to join their development team based at a brand new facility in Sheffield, South Yorkshire. You will be working on products and software that are used in the Life Science and Medical sectors.

The group have sites both in the UK and overseas and the QA Engineer will be joining a passionate and dedicated team based in Sheffield, South Yorkshire, with a strong focus on the quality and reliability of their software products.

Key responsibilities of the QA Engineer job:

• Maintain and perform thorough testing on software using defined test scripts
• Testing new functionalities to make sure that it is working as intended and report findings  back to the developers
• Working with software developers and project support teams
• Performance testing and Functional testing
• Writing and updating and executing test scripts

Key skills/experience required for the QA Engineer job:

• A Degree in a Science related course or experience working within drug discovery / environmental studies
• Strong communication skills both written and verbal
• Problem solving with effective solution evaluations
• Knowledge of HPLC, GC and other chromatography techniques would be beneficial
• Applicants must have a valid UK driving licence
