In this role, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with tax regulations, and providing valuable insights to our clients.Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and update financial records, including ledgers, journals, and invoices.
  • Prepare and file tax returns, ensuring compliance with HMRC regulations.
  • Reconcile bank statements and manage accounts payable/receivable.
  • Assist in the preparation of statutory accounts and financial statements.
  • Provide support during audits and liaise with external auditors.
  • Offer expert advice on tax planning and compliance to clients.
  • Collaborate with the team to ensure seamless financial operations.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Proven experience as a bookkeeper, preferably within an accountancy firm.
  • Strong knowledge of tax regulations and compliance.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero).
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • An AAT qualification or equivalent is preferred.
