Are you an experienced Mechanical Site Supervisor/Manager looking for an exciting new challenge? We are looking for the right person to manage a £3£4 million mechanical package, working on high-quality apartment block in Sheffield looking after the installation of all plumbing and heating systems including plant rooms for apartments and student accommodation. You will be the onsite point of contact and focal point for the mechanical contractor, looking after the day to day running of the project.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervision and Coordination: Oversee direct labour and subcontractors, ensuring timely project delivery.
  • Client Liaison: Act as the main on site point of contact for clients, ensuring their expectations are met.
  • Programme Management: Plan, manage, and monitor project schedules and progress.
  • Material Management: Order and manage materials effectively to maintain workflow.
  • Health and Safety: Implement and monitor site health and safety, including producing and adhering to RAMs (Risk Assessments and Method Statements).
  • Reporting: Provide regular updates to the Contracts Manager, highlighting progress and potential issues.
Requirements:
  • Qualifications: SSSTS or SMSTS certification.
  • Experience:
    • Proven track record in delivering projects with direct labour and subcontractors.
    • Expertise in copper, plastic, and traditional installations.
    • Familiarity with specialist subcontracted packages.
  • Technical Skills: Competent in computer usage for reporting, scheduling, and communication.
  • Health & Safety: Strong knowledge of industry health and safety standards.
