As part of a larger, expanding group, the business is seeking a dynamic and ambitious Area Sales Manager to lead and accelerate sales growth during this exciting phase of expansion.

About the Role

Reporting to the General Manager, this role is pivotal in driving sales growth within North and Central England, with a focus on expanding sales turnover and building strong customer relationships.


Key Responsibilities will include:

  • Increase sales turnover, focusing on the sales of equipment and consumables for all fabrication applications.
  • Ensure new and existing customers have a full understanding of the products and services offered.
  • Deliver a high level of customer service through value-add sales techniques.
  • Act as the main point of contact for your customers, providing excellent customer service and support.
  • Work autonomously while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams across the group of companies to ensure the seamless delivery of products and services.



About You

The ideal individual should be passionate about the welding, cutting and industrial supply industries and will ideally have existing experience selling into this market. Experience of industrial distribution, ideally to welding, cutting, Pipe, fittings, valves, PPE, tools or industrial equipment would be of great interest as this will allow the successful individual to adapt quickly to the role. Experience of working with key contacts within the customer base will also provide a distinct advantage.


Key skills required include:

  • Demonstrable experience in a territory sales capacity, achieving and exceeding sales targets, selling to industrial end users in petrochemicals, gas, water, energy, process industries etc.
  • Experience in components sales e.g. valves, pipes, fittings, tubes etc, preferably with welding and fabrication experience.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills at all levels
  • Self-motivated, independent thinker that can move deals through the selling cycle.
  • Highly customer focused, with experience developing your own sales plan, maintaining and growing successful relationships with customers.
  • Ability to work autonomously on day-to-day basis, whilst leaning on and leveraging in-depth knowledge and experience from existing team
