Join a leading specialist processor and distributor of nickel alloys, serving demanding market sectors worldwide, including aerospace. We are seeking a driven, passionate External Sales Representative to expand our customer base both in the UK and internationally.

External Sales Representative
  • Location: Yorkshire, UK (flexible depending on experience)
  • Job Type: Full-time
  • Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 per year, depending on experience

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Manage and develop existing customer relationships and identify new prospects across various market sectors.
  • Build and maintain a database of prospects, following up on new leads and enquiries.
  • Maximise sales profitability by understanding market opportunities and competition.
  • Establish customer needs and recommend solutions to promote business growth.
  • Maintain high levels of communication with clients through phone, video calls, and customer visits.
  • Develop and meet annual sales plans and budgets.
  • Understand competitor capabilities to achieve the best sales outcomes.
  • Handle enquiries and provide quotes via email, phone, etc.
  • Travel to meet customers in the UK and abroad as required.
  • Liaise with suppliers and internal teams to ensure successful business operations.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in a similar role, preferably within the metals sector.
  • Proven track record of building accounts and delivering results.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Self-motivated and results-driven.
  • Ability to work flexibly within a team and assist in various business areas.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Office (Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Experience with SAGE is preferred.
