CNC Machinist

Salary: 29,000 - 37,500 basic depending on experience

Company Overview: Join our dynamic and growing team at our Sheffield site,where precision and quality meet innovation. We are seeking dedicated CNC Machinists who are passionate about engineering and eager to expand their skills in a supportive and challenging environment. The role will be on a 2 shift pattern of Monday to Thursday 06.00 - 14:30 & Fridays 06.00 - 11.30, the second week will be Monday to Wednesday 14.15 - 00.15 and thursdays when needed. There is also a shift allowance added onto the basic salary of 3ph when working on the afters shift.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Machining Excellence: Ensure products and components are machined in accordance with drawing specifications.
  • Versatility in Machining: Utilize general machining principles, including CNC Lathe, CNC grinding, balancing, etc. Flexibility across various machining sectors is essential.
  • Safety and Quality: Work safely, adhering to all H&S legal requirements, policies, and procedures. Ensure all products are machined following the provided work instructions.
  • Documentation: Accurately fill in job order documentation and log information into the data capture system.
  • Efficiency: Achieve production process times after the training period as specified in job orders.
  • Non-Conformance Management: Identify and report any non-conformances promptly, working with Engineering/QA teams to understand causes and participate in corrective actions.
  • Tool and Machinery Maintenance: Maintain all tooling and machinery, ensuring measurement equipment is calibrated and in good working order.
  • Workplace Organization: Keep the machine area tidy and organized at all times.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Engineering Background: Proven experience in engineering or machining.
  • Adaptability: Willingness to take on additional training and responsibilities is paramount.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions precisely.
  • Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively with team members and communicate effectively.
  • Problem-Solving: Proactive in identifying issues and contributing to solutions.
