CNC Operative

We are seeking skilled Manual Machinists to join our team, machining centrifugally spun castings for the Aerospace and Power Generation industries. While time-served experience is preferred, it is not essential. You will work with a range of stainless alloys, ensuring high-quality precision machining.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Machine large castings to specified drawings and tolerances.
  • Operate various manual machines, including lathes and vertical borers.
  • Ensure production deadlines are met efficiently.
  • Perform visual inspections of machined castings.
  • Properly mark swarf drums for alloy identification.
  • Work independently and as part of a team with minimal supervision.
  • Maintain safety standards in all activities in line with company procedures.


Required Skills & Experience:

  • Minimum 3 years of machining experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings to produce precise components.
  • Proficiency in working to tight tolerances and using measuring equipment accurately.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
  • Self-motivated but also an effective team player.
  • Flexible approach to work, including overtime and shift work.
  • Solid understanding of health & safety, environmental standards, and quality control.
