Job Title: Press Brake Operator
Location: Sheffield
Salary: 14.37ph
Shifts: Mornings and Afters
Metalis are currently in partnership with a well-established engineering company in Sheffield. Our client is looking to hire a skilled Press Brake Operator on a 12-week temporary to permanent basis.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the daily setup and operation of computer-controlled press brakes to perform one or more machine functions on steel products.
- Ability to read engineering drawings.
- Producing parts without the need for supervision and dimensionally check to drawing and adjust programmes.
- Proficient in all the onsite press brake machinery.
- Capable of working to deadlines and see tasks through to completion in a timely manner.
Person Specification:
- Apprentice trained or time served experience in the press brake industry.
- Ability to work well as a team member.
- Understanding and support of Company policies and procedures.
- Position requires the ability to operate precision measuring devices such as callipers, square, micrometres, protractors, and tape measures.
Salary and Shifts:
- 14.37ph
- 12 weeks temporary to permanent role.
- Mornings are Monday to Friday 6am - 2pm.
- Afters are Monday to Thursday 2pm -11pm, and Friday 2pm - 6pm.
