Join one of the leading companies in the Build-to-Rent (BTR) sector. We design, build, and operate large-scale branded apartment schemes for rent. We are currently expanding and looking for a Maintenance Technician on a temporary contract to manage our new 335-apartment scheme in Sheffield City Centre.
Day-to-day of the role:- Full responsibility for the appearance and running of the Sheffield scheme, including day-to-day checks, repairs, and maintenance of apartments and communal spaces.
- Collaborate with colleagues on site, the block manager, and third-party contractors.
- Handle physically demanding tasks in a high-rise residential development.
- Coordinate with contractors to report, manage, and facilitate the defects programme.
- Diagnose, repair, and resolve issues in resident apartments, including appliance fixes, painting, and joinery repairs.
- Manage daily maintenance requests from residents within specified time frames using a CRM system.
- Ensure all areas of the building, including exterior, car parks, and internal communal areas, are clean and present well.
- Lead on sourcing and managing relationships with contractors, ensuring compliance and safety across the scheme.
- Highly organised, thriving in a fast-paced environment, able to manage your own workload and work proactively.
- Good technical knowledge with experience in residential repair including carpentry, joinery, painting, and decorating.
- Basic plumbing and electrical experience is desirable.
- Health & Safety compliance knowledge or IOSH certification.
- Experience in residential (PRS, BTR, or PBSA) or hospitality sectors is advantageous.
- Proven record of overseeing Health & Safety and compliance and Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM).
- Excellent customer service skills with a passion for delivering exceptional resident experiences.
