Job Title: Legal Administrator
Location: Sheffield
Salary: 23,000 + monthly bonus of up to 500
Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Hybrid Role: 3 days in the office once you have passed probation



The Role

We are looking for a Legal Administrator to join a dynamic and growing team in Sheffield. This role is ideal for someone with experience in debt recovery and legal collections who is eager to take the next step in their career. Key Responsibilities as a Legal Administrator

  • Negotiate with clients to resolve overdue accounts and ensure commitments are fulfilled.
  • Track and manage debt recovery cases, ensuring pre-legal debts are reviewed and ready for legal action when necessary.
  • Initiate and manage county court legal actions, progressing cases to judgment and enforcement using an in-house case management system.
  • Work with courts, enforcement agencies, and external suppliers to maintain high standards of service and meet deadlines.
  • Review and rectify cases that fail the automated legal process to ensure they are managed effectively.
  • Make and receive professional collection calls, maintaining a positive, solutions-driven approach.
  • Comfortable working alone or as part of a team to achieve goals and meet targets.
  • Work with high attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in all actions while adhering to professional conduct standards.


Requirements of a Legal Administrator

  • Ability to learn and adapt quickly to new case management systems.
  • Strong problem-solving skills to find solutions for clients and overcome obstacles.
  • Ability to confidently make and receive telephone calls to resolve debt issues.
  • Clear and effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to meet and exceed targets, with additional earning potential based on performance.
  • Comfortable handling a range of customer situations with professionalism and empathy.
  • Reliable, with a strong sense of integrity and commitment to quality work.
