Sue Ross Recruitment are recruiting on behalf of an ever-expanding, lexcel-acredited firm with offices in Sheffield, York and Hull. Our client is seeking a Clinical Negligence Lawyer and is offering either full-time or part-time hours with flexible options available.

This is an excellent opportunity for a newly qualified solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive (or soon to qualify) up to Grade B level who is eager to develop their expertise in complex clinical negligence cases.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist a Grade A Solicitor with high-value clinical negligence cases.
  • Independently manage a caseload under close supervision, handling liability, causation, and quantum issues.
  • Ensure full compliance with Solicitors Regulation Authority Code of Conduct (SRA) regulations and maintain high professional and administrative standards.
  • Support the wider firm through legal and administrative duties to promote best practice.

Necessary Skills:

  • Strong negotiation and advocacy abilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • High attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
  • Ability to critically analyse medical and legal information.
  • Empathy and understanding towards clients in distressing situations.
  • Proficiency in legal research and case management software (desirable).
