Primary Teaching Assistant

About the Role:

Join a dynamic team at a primary school in Sheffield, where you'll be working with mainstream children, alongside some SEN support. This long-term role offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on the child's educational journey, providing tailored support and fostering an environment conducive to their growth and development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver support to primary aged children in Key Stage 2.
  • Collaborate with the class teacher to implement and adapt learning materials.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive atmosphere within the classroom.
  • Monitor and record the child's progress, providing feedback to the teaching team.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children in a primary or SEN school setting is highly advantageous.
  • Empathy, patience, and a genuine passion for supporting diverse learning needs.
  • Effective communication skills, both with the child and the wider school community.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
