Orca Recruitment & Training Services Ltd is expanding our specialist Engineering division, and we're excited to invite talented Electricians who are looking for permanent work.

As a Lead Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and quality of engineering work. Your expertise will support our client's commitment to excellence and effective communication within the team.

The responsibilities for the lead Engineering role include:

  • Verify the accuracy of work performed and the methods used.
  • Assist the M&E Supervisor with record-keeping, including completed test sheets, inspection sheets, and maintenance activity logs.
  • Foster effective communication and personal development through training and support.
  • Maintain an up-to-date training database for yourself and your team.
  • Provide regular updates on workload and job completion progress.
  • Conduct annual one-on-one meetings and regular welfare check-ins with team members.

For the Lead Engineer role you will need:

  • You hold a minimum of HNC/HND in Engineering or have completed a technical apprenticeship.
  • You possess the 18th Edition Electrical C&G or Mechanical C&G certificate (preferred).
  • You are articulate, numerate, and proficient in IT.
  • You have an understanding of legislative compliance and contract law (preferred).
  • You are commercially aware and knowledgeable about budget preparation, negotiation, and management.
  • You have a solid understanding of Facility Management and Building Services Engineering.
