- Do you have excellent maintenance skills?
- Work on a shift basis to support electrical operations in a heavy engineering plant.
- Maintain and repair motors and drives.
- Perform fault finding on electronic cards down to component level.
- Maintain mill thyristor drives.
- Conduct electrical maintenance on overhead DC and AC cranes.
- Maintain PLC systems, particularly ABB and Allen Bradley.
- Use programming tools to diagnose PLC faults and adjust parameters as needed.
- Monitor and maintain furnace control systems, including calibrating controllers, replacing thermocouples, and managing furnace lighting procedures.
- Respond to breakdowns, quickly and safely identifying faults to minimise production downtime.
- HNC qualification in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
- Basic knowledge of PC-based software, including Excel.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings.
- Experience writing detailed shift activity reports.
- Familiarity with safety legislation related to operations and electrical maintenance.
- Skilled in following Safe Working Procedures (SWPs), risk assessments, Isolation & Immobilisation procedures, permit systems, and IEE regulations.
