*This role offers Flexible Working - 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday within the hours of 7am to 7pm

Our client is looking for a Commercial Electrician to join their FM team; delivering excellent service and support through their Facilities and Asset Management team throughout South Yorkshire. This role reports into the Hard Service Facilities Manager.

You will have experience with installing, servicing and maintaining electrical systems and appliances in accordance with the current Edition of IET Wiring Regulations.

The knowledge and ability to install, repair, inspect & test electrical installations and be able to correctly fill in and complete the appropriate Electrical Certficate or Electrical Condition Report in a commercial setting is essential.

Role Overview

•    Providing relevant expert and technical advice in relation to our client's electrical installations.
•    Ensuring a continual testing and inspection regime of our client's shelters/stops.
•    Ensuring optimal functioning of electrical systems and equipment.
•    Diagnosis and troubleshooting of electrical issues and timely repairs as required.
•    Work as part of the Facilities & Asset Management Team to ensure excellent service provision to both internal and external clients.

What are the tasks or work areas you will be responsible for?
•    Undertaking PPM electrical maintenance, testing, remedials and repairs of bus shelters throughout South Yorkshire in line with all relevant regulations and SFG20 standards.
•    Undertaking ad hoc office electrical maintenance, testing, remedials and repairs as needed.
•    Reporting any discovered electrical issues to line manager/team, which cannot be resolved on a first-time fix basis.
•    Ensuring van stock is adequate and maintained appropriately.
•    Ensuring van is maintained as directed by line manager.
•    Undertake any other duties commensurate with the role as requested by management.

Minimum NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation

City & Guilds 18th Edition

Inspection and Testing 2391/2 or equivalent

Time service apprenticeship

ECS Card

Full UK driving Licence

What previous experience is needed?

3+ years’ experience

Ideally previous commercial / transport  experience

Proven experience in undertaking EICR testing and remedials within commercial / transport setting

Proven experience in a repairs and maintenance setting

Proven experience in organising materials required, and van stock control

Proven experience in fault finding and first-time fix repairs

Experience in PAT Testing would be advantageous
