Water Treatment Technician/Engineer

Nottingham to Manchester

Full time - Permanent

Hours of work:As per employment contract

Salary dependent on experience

We are currently recruiting for a Water Treatment Technician to join our client to cover the area between Nottingham/Manchester.

Summary of Position

Provide on-site service at customer locations as instructed and in accordance with company values.

Primary Responsibilities

  • L8 on-site servicing; temperature checking, clean and disinfection of domestic water systems including showerheads.
  • Taking and testing water samples.
  • Analysis of closed water systems including dosing and flushing.
  • Be responsible for own Health & Safety whilst working by following company procedures using supplied appropriate PPE and always following safe working practices
  • Completion of customer log books
  • Be responsible for producing compliant service reports and sending all appropriate paperwork including timesheets to the office on a weekly basis.
  • Carry out basic remedial works on water systems

Personal Specification

  • Plumbing NVQ Level 2 or above - Desirable

Experience

  • At least 3 years in a customer facing service role

Qualities and Attitude

  • Flexible, willingness to learn, customer focused and hardworking, good communicator.
  • Ability to work independently and carry out planned works efficiently and effectively.
  • Be a good team player when working as a team.

Product Knowledge

  • Knowledge of water hygiene systems.
  • Closed systems and cooling water treatment

Competencies

  • Good at developing and maintaining excellent customer relationships on sites.
  • Ability to be persistent to get the job done.
  • Attention to detail to ensure all paperwork is submitted to the correct standard.
  • Knowledge of water treatment and water hygiene to deal effectively with questions from customers.
  • Ability to work with electronic forms on mobile phone
  • Compliant - always willing to work with established systems and not change systems without appropriate approval
