Axon Moore are working with a large scale, fast paced organisation in the appointment of a Head of Finance based on the outskirts of Sheffield.The Head of Finance is a pivotal leadership role, and oversees a large (50+), multi-function finance department.There is also a significant need to implement change and transformation processes to ensure systems and processes are fit for purpose and function efficiently to serve the needs of the business.Hybrid working is in place, promoting a hard working yet flexible working culture.The key responsibilities will include:
  • Provide leadership over the central services function of the organisation
  • Managing large scale change and transformation processes
  • Acting as key statutory reporting lead during year end, able to delegate effectively whilst taking on ultimate responsibility for the statutory reporting processes
  • Ensuring the management accounting function serves the needs of the business, providing vital business support and partnering
  • Overseeing all cash functions and activities incorporating treasury, VAT and bank reconciliations
  • Managing third party relationships with auditors at year end
  • Harnessing a positive working culture
The ideal candidate for this role would have the following skills and experience:
  • Proven financial leader with strong financial reporting and commercial experience
  • Exposure to a range of sectors would be helpful
  • Possesses a proactive attitude, identifying problems and acting upon them with pace and urgency
  • Adaptable, astute and with a strong leadership presence
