We are seeking an experienced Interim Payroll Manager to manage a team of payrollers who work both weekly and monthly payrolls for approximately 1000 employees at a well know organisation based in Sheffield. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly organized and motivated individual to join the HR team on an interim basis, ensuring the smooth and accurate processing of all payroll operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the end-to-end payroll process for both weekly and monthly payrolls.

  • Manage and support a payroll team.

  • Ensure timely and accurate payment to all employees, in line with company policies and statutory regulations.

  • Handle payroll queries and resolve discrepancies.

  • Maintain and update payroll records in accordance with company policies and legal requirements.

  • Prepare payroll reports for management, including reconciliations and variance analysis.

  • Collaborate with HR and finance teams to ensure smooth operations.

  • Ensure proper management of payroll systems and liaise with software providers as necessary.

Requirements:

  • CIPP qualification (Chartered Institute of Payroll Professionals) is essential.

  • Proven experience in payroll management, covering both weekly and monthly payrolls.

  • Strong knowledge of UK payroll legislation and statutory requirements.

  • Excellent attention to detail, with strong organizational and problem-solving skills.

  • Proficiency in payroll systems and software.

  • Ability to manage a high-volume payroll in a fast-paced environment.
