Cover Supervisor

Location: Sheffield (S1)
Daily Rate: £94 to £115 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: ASAP/January 2025
Contract: Day-to-day/Long-term, Full-Time

GSL Education are looking for a confident and adaptable Cover Supervisor to join a dynamic client school in Sheffield.

Job Summary: As a Cover Supervisor, you will step into the classroom to manage lessons in the absence of a teacher, ensuring students remain engaged and productive. This role is perfect for someone with a passion for education who enjoys a diverse and rewarding workday.

Responsibilities:

As a Cover Supervisor, you will:

Supervise classes across a range of subjects during teacher absences.
Deliver pre-prepared lesson plans and maintain classroom order.
Support students with their learning and address any questions or concerns.
Build positive relationships with students and foster a conducive learning environment.
Uphold the school’s policies on behaviour, safeguarding, and child protection.

Requirements:

To thrive as a Cover Supervisor, you should have:

Experience working with young people, ideally in an educational setting.
Strong classroom management skills and the ability to engage students.
A calm, professional, and approachable demeanour.
A flexible and adaptable attitude to suit various teaching situations.
Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection policies.
Currently residing in the UK.
A valid enhanced DBS on the Update Service.
