We are seeking a skilled full-time Chef to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food, excellent culinary skills, and the ability to lead a team in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
Requirements:
- Location: Only candidates living within an 8-mile radius from the restaurant will be considered.
- Transportation: Must have personal transportation.
- Proficient in diverse cuisines (Afro-Caribbean preferred but not a necessity)
Experience:
- Chef: 1 year (preferred)
- Cooking: 1 year (preferred)
- Oversee the daily operations of the kitchen
- Plan and prepare high-quality dishes
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations
- Train and supervise kitchen staff
- Maintain inventory and order supplies as needed
- Collaborate with management to create menus that meet customer expectations
- Monitor food costs and work towards budget targets
- Stay updated on culinary trends and new techniques and ingredients.
- Work closely with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction.
Experience:
- Proven experience as a Chef in a busy restaurant or hotel setting
- Strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations
- Culinary qualification preferred
- Excellent leadership and team management skills
- Proficient in all aspects of kitchen operations
- Previous experience supervising kitchen staff
