Reed Business Support are incredibly excited to be working with a globally established manufacturing company in their search for a HR Assistant. Based in Sheffield, this is an excellent opportunity for a HR professional who are looking to apply their skills to a new challenge! This role is a 12-month FTC and is 35 hours per week. Hybrid working is available for this role.

About the role: 

  • Handle busy HR shared mailbox
  • Processing job offers
  • Creating and issuing new starter packs
  • Liasing with successful candidates throughout the on-boarding process
  • Conducting Right to Work checks
  • Handling alterations to Terms and Conditions in contracts
  • Providing probation review advice
  • Maintaining HR systems

About you:

  • Previous HR experience
  • Comfortable conducting HR administration tasks
  • Strong computer skills across the full range of Microsoft Office applications, in particular Excel and Word 
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills 
  • Willingness to own tasks and the resilience to work through issues to conclusion, maintaining energy and motivation 
  • Confident and able to provide credible sound advice, accurate information, and timely support to all stakeholders 
  • Keep up to date with policy, process and documentation changes, maintaining ability to respond to a full range of HR queries
