Role: IT Assistant

Salary: Up to 28,000 Depending on Experience

Located: Sheffield

Hours:- Monday to Friday

Glu Recruit are seeking an IT Assistant to work closely with the IT Manager and independently to deliver a range of integral IT support functions in accordance with internal procedures and best practice.

The role:

  • To serve as a first point of contact for staff on IT & telecoms related issues, providing support and advice as required.
  • To facilitate and support the provision (and maintenance) of IT equipment as appropriate.
  • To assist the IT Manager with the design, implementation and maintenance of internal systems including the Case Management system.
  • To assist in the roll out and implementation of new & existing operating systems & new technology
  • To assist in the preparation and implementation of reporting systems including through the case management system.
  • To support the set up and configuration of computers for all new staff.
  • To support the IT Manager in the provision of IT training including contributing to IT inductions for new staff.
  • To facilitate internal changes including supporting internal moves.
  • To undertake various IT administration tasks including maintaining internal records.
  • To proactively contribute to the overall development, implementation and smooth running of IT procedures including making suggestions as appropriate.
  • To identify and undertake continual personal and professional development including contributing to the development of others as required.
  • To follow and adhere to all company policies to ensure compliance at all times.
  • To undertake additional tasks which fall within the scope of the role as directed and reasonably required.

The successful candidate:

Essential:

  • A least 12 months experience within a similar role
  • A demonstrable background in end user IT support
  • Experience of rolling out operating systems
  • Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team
  • Ability to prioritise and work within deadlines
  • Excellent interpersonal and team working skills
  • Strong communication skills

  • Previous experience working within a professional services environment (ideally legal)
  • Experience of digital marketing, including SEO & website management
