We are excited to be supporting this rapidly expanding, Scientific Organisation in finding another Production Scientist to join this successful team. 

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

The Production Scientist role will be responsible for the manufacture of a wide range of products related to the fields of microscopy, electron Microscopy and cryo-electron Microscopy. The work will include microscopy grids, coated surfaces, chemicals and calibration standards, resins, stained and dyes, filaments, apertures and support films. 

Your main focus will be to ensure a high standard of quality, efficiency and productivity.

WHAT THE ROLE WILL INCLUDE:

The manufacturing of products within a laboratory environment

Becoming an integral part of a multi- functional team to produce products in all forms of microscopy

Documentation of all production processes and perform all manufacturing information management

Developing and validating new production methods to enhance productivity

Preparing and reviewing standard operating procedures

Preparing risk and health and safety assessments for all lab activities

Contributing towards the general laboratory upkeep

Performing other laboratory and related duties at the request of the Lead Production Scientist 

Apart from the necessary qualifications/experience, you will be persistent, tenacious, thrive on achieving the correct end result and enjoy overcoming challenges.

The role will have some physical demands with lifting and movement of items up to 10KG. 

This position is paying a salary of £27,000 plus 25 days’ holiday, a health plan, contributory pension and excellent amenities on site plus free parking. Excellent opportunities for career growth and development.
