To work in a team operating VIM & VIDP furnaces.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

Contribute to the safe and efficient operation of furnaces through:

• Safe crane handling of electrodes and moulds• Maintenance of a high standard of housekeeping in line with safety and QA hazard audit requirements.• Adherence to QA procedures and generating/maintaining prime melt records.• Charge preparation, charge mixing and furnace loading.• Refractory preparation.• Mould preparation, setting and stripping.• Loading/discharging of large clamshell heat treatment furnaces.• General crane and forklift truck movements.

Demonstrable Experience of:• Development/Improvement activities.• Application of training.• Positive attitude to safety & quality.
