As a Deputy Nurse Manager, you will:
- Support the care home manager in all aspects of day-to-day operations.
- Lead the home in the manager's absence.
- Provide information, advice, and support to residents, families, and staff.
- Ensure clinical oversight of all aspects of residents' care.
- Promote residents' rights and encourage participation in activities.
- Help residents access local services and community activities.
- Monitor business performance and quality of care.
- Ensure staff are up-to-date with current policies and practices.
- Recruit, train, and supervise staff.
- Work within the NMC codes of conduct.
- Provide professional supervision to care and nursing staff.
- Ensure effective communication with relatives and healthcare professionals.
- Maintain confidentiality regarding all aspects of care and management.
- Have previous experience as a Clinical Lead Nurse or Deputy Nurse Manager in a similar setting.
- Possess strong leadership and mentoring skills.
- Be knowledgeable about NMC codes of conduct.
- Have experience in recruiting, training, and supervising staff.
- Be able to provide professional supervision to care and nursing staff.
- Ensure effective communication with all stakeholders.
- Maintain confidentiality in all aspects of care and management.
