People Advisor opportunity working for a leading engineering company based in Sheffield, South Yorkshire. . This role is onsite based in Sheffield with flexibility to work one day from home. This role is a permanent opportunity working 37 hours per week and flexibility on start and finish times.

In this role you will support and enable effective people management practices within the service hub, providing operational HR support to line managers and People & Culture Partners. This role will be critical in ensuring seamless HR operations, driving employee engagement, and assisting in implementing People processes that support the business goals of the organisation.

The role:

  • Employee relations / absence management, including investigation notes and disciplinary follow ups.
  • Employee data and reporting: maintaining HR records and generate reports on key metrics like turnover, absence, and performance.
  • Recruitment and selection: manage recruitment processes, including job postings, interviews, offers and onboarding.
  • Process governance: advise managers on performance reviews, development plans, and training identification. Support policy development and legal compliance.
  • Employee engagement: support employee engagement and well-being initiatives.
  • Continuous improvement: identify and implement HR process improvements to enhance service delivery and ensure compliance.

Essentials and Skills:

  • Guides employees and managers through HR processes.
  • Resolves queries efficiently using HR case management systems and digital tools.
  • Triages and prioritizes cases effectively.
  • Maintains accurate employee records and generates actionable HR reports.
  • Proficient in HRIS platforms.

Salary and Benefits:

Salary paying circa £32,000
