IT Technician - Data Manager - 40 - 45K - Sheffield

An established client of ours in the Technology sector are looking for a Data Manager to join their internal IT department, on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for the development, implementation, configuration, customisation and maintenance of the firm's legal line of business software applications and managing the organisation's data. This role requires a blend of technical ability, communication, organisational and project management skills with strategic thinking to ensure that applications and data systems support the business objectives. The role also requires a hands-on approach to interaction, coordination, delivery, reporting and training.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Accountable for ensuring sufficient training on all IT systems. Organise training with internal and external resources, including induction, document, product and PMS training.
  • Become technical lead for the firm's line of business systems; supporting, developing and configuring Practice Management, Document Management, Case Management and Customer Relationship Management solutions.
  • Act as an escalation point for legal application problems involving change, training or development. Second and Third line problem escalation, with advanced troubleshooting and advanced administration of the legal line of business applications.
  • Ensure applications are running efficiently and are aligned with business needs.
  • Develop and maintain data architecture and perform database management. Ensure data classification, cleansing, integrity, security and accessibility.
  • Technical lead on projects related to application development, integration or data management. Develop project plans, timelines, and status reports.
  • Collaborate and coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and meet business requirements.

Skills:

  • Desktop Application and Operating System administration skills, experience and knowledge; Microsoft Windows 10/11, Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, Digital Dictation
  • MS Server 2016/19/22 operating system knowledge, PowerShell, etc.
  • Experience with common business Cloud Applications such as Microsoft 365, e-signing services, data sharing platforms, CRMs.
  • Possess or develop strong ALB legal practice management system programming and development skills.
  • Experience with and knowledge of SQL databases.
  • Experience with producing management information reports; SSRS, PowerBI, Tableau, etc.
  • ITSM solutions management experience: Halo, ManageEngine, FreshService or other ITSM.
