Your new companyHays Senior Finance are partnering with a large Public Sector organisation based in Sheffield who are looking to add a Portfolio Operations Manager to their Finance team. Your new roleAs Portfolio Operations Manager, you will be responsible for the management of the portfolio administration process for the future fun portfolio of equity investments and oversee the team responsible for delivering the process. The role involves managing the delivery of the processes and providing operational support to the product team in line with policies, external statutory guidance and industry best practice, working closely with key stakeholders including investment and central teams. Main responsibilities include;

  • Overseeing the insourcing and implementation of the portfolio admin process from an external counterparty. Once unsourced, embedding the BAU process as part of the wider middle office to oversee the ongoing support of the portfolio.
  • Continually improving the unsourced process and aligning to wider portfolio operations processes
  • Managing the portfolio data through the sales force system
  • Managing the engagement with portfolio companies to manage the quarterly MI ingestion and validation process of performance information
  • Managing the relationships with the valuations team to deliver quarterly portfolio valuations
  • Managing portfolio company transactions and engaging with portfolio companies in relation to events and transactions such as conversations, defaults and exits
  • Support the future fund team to scrutinise and assess the portfolio as part of the ongoing monitoring
  • Working with second line to manage the risk of the portfolio in line with risk management frameworks
  • Managing the Middle Office future fund portfolio admin teams
  • Representing the team in organisation wide projects and initiatives
