Finance Administrator£26,000 per annum Sheffield, South Yorkshire Elevation Accountancy and Finance are delighted to be working with a fantastic business in the Sheffield area as they look to recruit an Finance Administrator into their team on a full time, permanent basis.This role involves providing essential administrative and billing support to the finance department. The finance team manages and coordinates financial operations, serving as the main point of contact for various internal and external stakeholders, including clients, service providers, and other business partners. Key Responsibilities

  • Respond to telephone calls and general financial inquiries in a timely manner
  • Provide accurate and efficient administrative support to the Finance Team
  • Work collaboratively, offering assistance to other team members and providing coverage during absences within the Finance Team when necessary
  • Proficiently use Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint on a daily basis
  • Enter data into the billing system 
  • Process payments over the phone and ensure accurate recording in the billing database
  • Monitor outstanding debts, taking prompt action by running reports, reconciling aged debtors, and following up as necessary
  • Follow up on unpaid balances by sending shortfall, reminder, and final demand letters
  • Complete assigned tasks, such as producing required financial information or reports
  • Manage and prioritise daily tasks to meet deadlines
  • Adapt to changes in business needs and perform additional duties as required by the Finance Team Manager
