We are currently working with an award-winning utilities company, seeking a talented Planner/Programmer with proven technical capacity and business acumen to join our water team at their Sheffield office. This role involves delivering capital programmes across clean and waste water sites. As a Planning Engineer, you will be responsible for using PMS projects to prepare tender programmes, C31 programmes, and manage the C32 programme. You will report to senior management on all aspects of the programme.

Core duties include end-to-end planner management from inception to handover, programme control, project performance monitoring, and ensuring effective delivery of programmes. You will manage and oversee the production of outline and detailed programs, ensuring programme changes are managed effectively and subcontractor and supplier programmes are integrated. Additionally, you will chair programme meetings, coordinate construction activities, and maintain strong client relationships.

Skills:

  • Proven track record using P6 and MS Project software.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to build, maintain, and manage strong client relationships.
  • Programme control and project performance monitoring.
  • Constructability and planning reviews.
  • Effective management of programme changes.
  • Integration of subcontractor and supplier programmes.
  • Chairing programme meetings and coordinating construction activities.
  • Experience with programming (Primavera, MS Project).
  • Proactive management of project programmes.
