Penguin Recruitment is pleased to be supporting a UK leading multidisciplinary consultancy who, due to an exciting and expanding pipeline, are now experiencing a period of rapid growth, and are now seeking to recruit an ambitious and experienced Town Planner to their Sheffield team!

You will work alongside an experienced team of consultants and will work on a varied and engaging workload, including urban regeneration and sustainable urban extension projects across the UK. Key Responsibilities:

  • Advise on development potential of land and buildings.
  • Assist in preparing planning applications and appeals.
  • Provide policy advice and research.
  • Draft representations for planning consultations and examinations.
  • Identify land opportunities.
  • Collaborate with senior officers, clients, and consultants to deliver projects.

Candidate Requirements

  • Experience in a planning role (ideally within local government, consultancy, or development).
  • Relevant RTPI accredited Planning qualification (or working towards one).
  • Membership of RTPI or working towards it.
  • Knowledge of the planning process and systems.
  • Strong writing and communication skills with attention to detail.
  • Enthusiasm, drive, and a team-player mentality.
