Description
The In-House Legal & Governance Counsel will be:
- Providing legal support across general commercial, regulatory, and data matters, including GDPR, FOIA, and AML compliance.
- Reviewing marketing collateral, website content, and press releases for regulatory adherence.
- Supporting procurement, supplier management, and internal stakeholders on operational legal risks.
- Handling matters escalated from the procurement teams.
- Drafting NDA and BAU Contracts.
- Assisting with legal challenges, stakeholder complaints, and external counsel oversight.
- Advising on public sector law, data protection, and judicial review matters.
Profile
The In-House Legal & Governance Counsel should be:
- A solicitor or equivalent with 4+ years PQE in corporate, commercial, or financial regulation.
- Experienced in public law, data protection, FOIA, or procurement law (preferred).
- Comfortable managing external counsel and providing advice on complex legal risks.
- Adept at working in fast-paced environments with competing demands.
