Your new role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced individual to join as a Head of Year. In this pivotal role, you will work closely with the Pastoral Manager and other Heads of Year to support strategic planning related to the School Development Plan and local and national initiatives, agreeing on targets, monitoring arrangements, and evaluation procedures. Your responsibilities will include developing and maintaining a whole-school pastoral ethos, coordinating cross-year group initiatives, and providing expert advice on pupil-related issues. You will also actively participate in leadership meetings, monitor pupil progress, and foster constructive relationships with staff, parents, and external agencies.The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to enhancing pupils' emotional, social, and behavioural development. You must have experience in a leadership or Head of Year position within a school. You will be proactive in addressing barriers to learning, supporting vulnerable pupils, and promoting a positive school image. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders are essential.
