Conveyancing Legal Assistant - SheffieldLocation: SheffieldFull-Time | £22,500 + Bonus Potential

At LJ Recruitment, we're working with a leading and modern legal services provider to find a proactive and detail-focused Conveyancing Legal Assistant to join their expanding team in Sheffield.

About the Role

As a Conveyancing Legal Assistant, you'll play a vital part in a client-facing team supporting the legal process of property transactions. From liaising with clients and third parties to drafting key documents and managing data, you'll help ensure smooth and efficient case progression.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver excellent customer service via phone, email and face-to-face communication
  • Provide administrative and transactional support to fee earners
  • Request, manage and chase client and third-party documentation
  • Carry out solicitor and client due diligence and checks
  • Draft legal paperwork including contracts and re-mortgage documentation
  • Manage case files using a case management system and maintain accurate records
  • Communicate with estate agents, lenders, solicitors and stakeholders
  • Assist with title checking, enquiries, and preparing for exchange and completion
  • Keep stakeholder portals and internal systems up to date
  • Contribute positively to the wider team and help achieve department KPIs and targets

What We're Looking For

  • Minimum one year's experience in a legal, admin or customer service role
  • Previous conveyancing experience preferred but not essential
  • Confident communicator with a strong phone manner and written skills
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities
  • IT literate - able to work with email systems, case management software and MS Office
  • Detail-orientated, efficient and able to work on own initiative
  • Friendly, reliable and a team player with a proactive mindset
