Your new company
The company are seeking a Finance and Payroll Officer to be a leading presence within the team. This is a permanent role based in Sheffield with elements of Hybrid working, good central location and close to public transport links.
This role is an immediate start subject to interview, with interviews set to take place WC 23rd Sept. This position is crucial to support the team in delivering financial services by collaborating with the finance business partner to ensure accurate and timely accounting. Your new role

  • Responsibilities include managing financial ledgers, maintaining fixed asset registers, supporting the production of management and statutory accounts, overseeing monthly payroll, ensuring HMRC compliance, handling supplier payments, and managing expenses.
  • Oversee the daily operations of a small finance team whilst leading the payroll operation for 250 employees
  • Contributing to management accounts, forecasts and budgets for your department - working with the finance business partner, stakeholders, and senior management as well as providing support for the end-of-year audit.
  • Actively develop the internal finance processes and team members to drive for continuous improvement.


What you'll need to succeed

  • Part-qualified through ACCA / CIPP or Qualified by Experience
  • A keen eye for detail and a deep understanding of transactional finance.
  • Experience of processing a wide range of ledgers and payroll functions.
  • Excellent ability to build a collaborative environment across business functions.
  • Strong Excel skills for complex functions and formulas across spreadsheets
