Our client is seeking an experienced Maintenance Engineer with an electrical bias to join theirsmall but dynamic plating business. The successful maintenance engineerwill be responsible for maintaining and repairing electrical and mechanical systems, ensuring the smooth operation of all plating equipment and associated machinery.
The successful maintenance engineers role will consist of, but not limited to....
- Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of electrical systems, including control panels, motors, and wiring.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical issues to minimize downtime.
- Ensure all electrical installations meet current safety and regulatory standards.
- Carry out routine maintenance on plating equipment (e.g., tanks, pumps, and filtration systems).
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues and ensure timely repairs.Installation and commissioning of new equipment.
- Develop and execute preventative maintenance schedules for all machinery and electrical systems.
- Work closely with production teams to identify and implement process improvements.
The successful maintenance engineer will posses
- 18th edition Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualification.
- Proven experience in a maintenance role within a manufacturing environment, preferably in a plating or chemical processing facility.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, including fault finding and diagnostics.

The hours of work for the successful maintenance engineer will be,,,
Monday toThursday 7.45am to4.15pm
Friday 7am to1pm
BUT, they are open to maintenance engineers who want to work 4 day shift Monday to Thursday, they are a very flexible company who value their employess and listen to them
The role commands a salary upto 40k, 33days holiday, generous pension and a list of benefits befitting the role and company of this status.
