Mechanical Design Engineer required for a leading manufacturer of mechanical handling equipment for the automotive industry based in the Sheffield area. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating 2D & 3D drawings of assemblies and fabrications using Solidworks & AutoCAD.
Mechanical Design Engineer Job Overview- Utilising Solidworks and AutoCAD to produce manufacturing and assembly drawings
- Producing DXF files for laser cutting
- Carrying out finite element analysis
- Creating steel layout drawings
- HND qualified or similar within a mechanical engineering related subject
- Experience within Mechanical Design, ideally a fabrication / material handling / machinery industry
- Proficient with 3D modelling software such as Solidworks or Autodesk Inventor
- Experience with AutoCAD is desirable
- Based in a commutable distance of Sheffield
- Starting salary £28,000 - £38,000
- Monday to Friday, full-time. Permanent position.
