Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and dynamic Music lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4
  • Plan and deliver a creative and inclusive music curriculum that caters to a range of abilities and learning styles
  • Prepare students for GCSE music assessments and support their overall musical development
  • Promote a positive and encouraging learning environment, fostering creativity and confidence
  • Support extra-curricular music activities, including school concerts, ensembles, and music clubs
  • Collaborate with colleagues to continually enhance the music department and curriculum

Person Specification:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Proven experience teaching Music at secondary level
  • Strong subject knowledge, with the ability to teach both practical and theoretical elements of music
  • Ability to inspire and motivate students of varying musical abilities
  • Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to create an engaging learning environment
