We are seeking a Home Ownership Service Officer to join our dedicated Home Ownership Unit. This role is integral in delivering high-quality, customer-focused services across various areas including Right-to-Buy, Leasehold Management, Revenues and Collections, and Business Management. The ideal candidate will have a strong emphasis on quality, customer care, consultation, and teamwork.
Day-to-day of the role:- Assist the Team Leader in implementing Council policies affecting the Unit.
- Deliver exceptional service to customers and service users, focusing on quality and customer satisfaction.
- Contribute to the development and enhancement of service procedures and best practices.
- Supervise and support the Senior Home Ownership Assistants and Home Ownership Assistants.
- Ensure effective processing of Right to Buy applications and manage related performance metrics.
- Maintain and update a database of leaseholder properties, manage service charges, and engage in leaseholder consultations.
- Coordinate the collection of various charges and manage sundry debtor accounts to maximize revenue.
- Develop and maintain excellent relationships with service partners, stakeholders, and customers.
- Undertake administrative tasks and ensure adherence to Council policies across various business functions.
- Proven financial and administrative skills relevant to the role.
- Previous supervisory experience is advantageous.
- Strong ability to work independently and take responsibility.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to produce effective reports.
- Proficient in interpersonal communication, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work under pressure to meet targets and deadlines.
