We are seeking a Payroll Officer to join their team, offering an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented professional looking for a role that promotes work-life balance and flexibility.

Role Responsibilities

  • Process end-to-end payroll for a diverse workforce, ensuring accuracy and compliance with statutory requirements.
  • Ensure timely and accurate payments, including processing of overtime, bonuses, and deductions.
  • Manage and resolve payroll-related queries from employees and external stakeholders.
  • Prepare and submit payroll reports to senior management and the finance team.
  • Ensure compliance with HMRC regulations, including the filing of PAYE, NIC, and RTI submissions.
  • Assist with year-end processes, including P60/P11D preparation.
  • Maintain accurate records of employee benefits and pension contributions.

Person Specification

  • Previous experience in payroll, with a solid understanding of payroll systems and legislation.
  • Proficient in payroll software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to resolve payroll queries effectively.
  • Discreet and able to handle sensitive information in a confidential manner.
  • A proactive approach, working independently and as part of a team.
