We are looking for a dedicated Payroll Officer to join an established Finance team in Sheffield. This role will focus on supporting the setup of new payroll processes, configuring the payroll system, and ensuring accurate, timely payments once the processes go live.

You will manage the end-to-end payroll process on a monthly basis, including processing pay, handling deductions, and ensuring compliance with tax and pension regulations.Additionally, you’ll maintain up-to-date payroll records, liaise with stakeholders, and act as a point of contact for payroll queries, working to resolve any issues promptly.

Key Responsibilities for a Payroll Officer:

  • Support the improvement of payroll systems
  • Accurately onboard new partners and ensure correct payroll setup
  • Manage monthly payroll, including pay, deductions, and pensions
  • Act as a point of contact for payroll queries and resolve issues
  • Ensure compliance with statutory obligations and avoid penalties

Requirements for Payroll Officer:

  • Experience within a Payroll team covering the end-to0 end process
  • Qualifications would be advantageous but not essential
