Elevation Recruitment Group are delighted to be partnering with a leading organisation to recruit a strategic and results-driven Head of Procurement. This is a fantastic opportunity to lead and develop a high-performing procurement function within a dynamic and values-driven environment.

The Role:

As the Head of Procurement, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering the procurement strategy, ensuring value for money, compliance, and sustainability across all procurement activities. You will work closely with senior stakeholders to drive efficiencies, enhance supplier relationships, and support the organisation's long-term objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement a robust procurement strategy aligned with organisational goals

  • Manage and optimise procurement processes, ensuring best practices and compliance with regulatory requirements

  • Lead negotiations and manage key supplier relationships to deliver cost savings and added value

  • Identify and implement opportunities for efficiency improvements and risk mitigation

  • Oversee contract management and ensure adherence to procurement policies and frameworks

  • Provide strategic advice and support to senior leadership on procurement matters

  • Lead and mentor the procurement team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement

Key Requirements:
  • Proven experience in a senior procurement role, ideally within the education sector or a regulated industry

  • Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills

  • Extensive knowledge of procurement best practices, public sector procurement regulations, and contract management

  • Demonstrated ability to drive cost savings and operational efficiencies

  • MCIPS qualification or equivalent is highly desirable

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a commercial mindset
