As a Toolmaker, you will be responsible for:
- Maintaining, repairing, and enhancing existing jigs, fixtures, form tools, and general tooling.
- Creating new jigs, fixtures, form tools, and general tooling based on engineering drawings.
- Collaborating with Tooling Engineers and Manufacturing Engineers to deliver cost-effective and efficient tooling solutions.
- Responding effectively to breakdowns and assisting production teams.
- Reporting issues to the Toolroom Supervisor or directly to stakeholders when necessary.
Candidate Requirements:
- Proven proficiency in using manual machines like milling machines, radial arm drills, and surface & cylindrical grinders.
- Expertise in hand and bench skills for jig and tool production and maintenance.
- Experience with CNC operation and programming
- Ability to interpret and understand engineering drawings.
- Proven track record of producing parts to tight tolerances.
