Manufacturing Quality Inspector

Elevation Recruitment Group are currently working with a multi-award winning manufacturer in Sheffield who are looking for a Quality Inspector with a background in welding & fabrication. Reporting into the Quality Manager, you will support on complex projects within highly-regulated sectors.

The business turn over £25 million and deliver full turn-key solutions from design to installation for some of the most demanding applications. Ideally the business are looking for someone who can start ASAP and is happy to travel to inspect on site and with suppliers. 

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Excellent Fabrication & Welding Knowledge
• Visiting suppliers, working to approved ITP’s
• Dealing with client inspectors site and suppliers
• Converse with Dimensional Geometric & Conventional Inspection (Tapes/Mic’s/Vernia’s)
• Reviewing drawings for manufacturability & weld details
• Creating and monitoring weld maps / weld schedules
• Keep in house weld quals prolongated, to be our in house RWC for selected projects.
• Development of internal weld matrix & procedures

I'm keen to speak to Quality Inspector's with the following skillset:

• MPI - PCN Level 2
• Visual - PCN Level 2 / CSWIP 3.1
• Clean Driving License
• Paint Inspection Qualifications (Desirable)
