Procurement Officer

Are client is looking for an experienced and highly skilled procurement professional to join our team and strengthen our purchasing function.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage procurement processes
  • Develop and implement procurement strategies and forward plans, ensuring a continuous, compliant procurement cycle that aligns with organisational goals.
  • Sourcing and engaging reliable suppliers
  • Negotiating with suppliers to secure advantageous terms.
  • Reviewing existing contracts with suppliers to ensure on-going feasibility.
  • Ensuring compliance with the latest public procurement regulations, including the identification of appropriate frameworks and advertising of tenders.

Key Experience:

  • Proven success in a similar role.
  • Experience in contract management and procurement within medium to large organizations.
  • Strong ability to present complex information clearly and concisely.
  • In-depth knowledge of legislation and regulations related to procurement and contract management.
  • Experience in generating income and preparing bids for grant funding.
  • As the role involves working with schools, the successful candidate will be required to undergo an enhanced level Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
