Technical & Quality Assistant for our Manufacturing client based in Sheffield, S9.

Technical & Quality Assistant Benefits:

  • Salary: 28-34k DOE
  • Location: Sheffield, S9 - full time office based
  • Hours: 8am to 5pm
  • Contract: Permanent
  • Onsite parking available

Technical & Quality Assistant Duties:

  • Produce manufacturing drawings using AutoCAD to a high standard
  • Assist in the resolution of manufacturing problems
  • Deal with internal & external queries relating to fire certification, quality systems, chain of custody etc.
  • Assist in the development of new and existing products, processes & services
  • Assist with & carry out internal audits on all aspects of the company quality management & chain of custody systems
  • Attend relevant certification / trade conferences

Technical & Quality Assistant Criteria:

  • Good understanding of timber-based products
  • Understanding of fire resistant products - preferably doors / Door sets
  • Good understanding of manufacturing techniques used within the timber industry
  • Good AutoCAD experience is essential
  • Good working knowledge of Autodesk Revit & Fusion 360 would be advantageous
  • Familiar with the needs & requirements of quality management systems to ISO 9001:2015 preferably hold an internal auditor qualification
  • Familiar with the needs & requirements of chain of custody systems to current FSC & PEFC standards
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Good understanding of Microsoft Office. Particularly Word & Excel
  • Good literacy & numeracy skills

Technical & Quality Assistant Qualifications:

  • Qualification / experience AutoCAD or similar
  • Qualification / experience in manufacturing
  • Qualification / experience with quality management system
