In this pivotal role, you will be at the forefront of driving the success and expansion of the firm's Estate Planning department. You will manage a dedicated team of legal case managers, utilising management information (MI) to ensure they consistently meet performance metrics and deliver outstanding client service. As a strong advocate for inclusivity, you will also champion the professional growth of your team.While prior legal experience is advantageous, it is not a requirement. Our client is particularly interested in candidates with a proven record of effective team leadership within any professional services environment.Key Responsibilities1 Team Supervision * Directly oversee a team of 8-10 legal case managers, conducting regular one-to-one meetings and performance reviews. * Provide coaching and mentorship to support both individual and team development. * MI Analysis & Implementation * Utilise MI to guide strategic decision-making and optimise service delivery. * Identify trends and areas for improvement, then implement action plans to enhance efficiency. * Work Allocation & Capacity Management * Ensure workloads are balanced across the team and that deadlines are consistently met. * Monitor overall capacity and resource requirements, adjusting as necessary to maintain productivity. * Client & HR Management * Address and resolve any client complaints or issues in a timely manner. * Maintain up-to-date HR records, including absence tracking and performance logs. * Cross-Functional Collaboration * Work closely with other teams and senior leaders to share insights, align on objectives, and uphold the firm's standards of excellence. Ideal Candidate* Team Leadership Experience: Demonstrable success in leading a team within legal or other professional services. * Performance-Driven Mindset: Capable of motivating teams to meet and exceed KPIs in a fast-paced setting. * Strong Communicator: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, adept at handling complex or sensitive discussions. * Relationship Builder: Proven ability to foster positive working relationships at all levels within an organisation. * Adaptability: Comfortable working in a hybrid model and flexible in responding to changing business needs.
